Bird

Per request: :-P

It looks like a Black Crowned Crane to me, face pattern looks wrong for Grey Crowned Crane, Jimfbleak (talk) 06:39, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks muchly. Will change that. --Neskaya talk 02:21, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Where did you take the picture? Robert Ullmann 12:16, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Los Angeles Zoo, in the aviary. I didn't get a chance to look at the guide of what birds were which because I was trying to keep track of the kids as well as take photos. --Neskaya talk 03:50, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Very good. They have a West African Black Crowned Crane. I stand corrected. (;-) Robert Ullmann 11:39, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, still is very good to know what the heck it is, since I was far too busy paying attention to the students I was keeping track of (one of whom got very uncomfortable because of the loud noises at the zoo, and so the photos really were a side issue). Thanks for helping me figure that out. :D --Neskaya talk 19:19, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Neskaya, I gave Neurosynthesis a short block to allow him to reconsider - feel free to block indefinitely if you see their old tricks again. Conrad.Irwin 20:22, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vietnamese

Thank you, I am a Vietnamese learner. My contributions often use entries in VDict as a source. However, all of my entries will need checking and addition from a native speaker, because some words have multiple definitions. My work is something like planting a seed that one hopes will grow (in this case, by attention from at least one native speaker), hence the reason for my addition of the "vi-attention" template to all new articles. 24.29.228.33 09:04, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahkey, thanks. I am also learning Vietnamese, actually. And I was actually asking because I have {{vi-attention}} watched and had seen the things being marked. Anyway, keep contributing! --Neskaya talk 00:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And you deleted this why? Is kind of important. Hit the wrong entry by mistake? Robert Ullmann 10:34, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Wrong entry, uh oops. Eeeeep, I'm sorry. --Neskaya talk 13:56, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
