Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

I made a few minor changes to leakage. Enjoy. Jonathan Webley 15:37, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

dubious entries

[edit]

Entries such as sex drive or well, the majority of your entries today do not seem helpful, as what you've entered is so often incorrect.

A well written definition is a difficult thing. Starting off with inaccuracies and wildly ambiguous (irrelevant) information is not helpful. Writing a definition for an entry that has a bogus stub is much harder than starting from a blank page. --Connel MacKenzie T C 16:18, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay Connel thank you and I thought sex drive was a real termology? --Owlsrus 16:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC) thanks for the time. --Owlsrus 16:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes it is; my gripe is that such a short entry doesn't convey usable meaning...but does distract someone when they go to fill the entry out a bit. --Connel MacKenzie T C 16:25, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I got your meaning Connel it just sometimes gets confusing in a days work and Semper is really a nice guy trying to make wiktionary the best he can make it and i say the same thing for you Connel. Thank you. --Owlsrus 16:27, 7 March 2006 (UTC) what does the meaning mean? dubious? i should look it up. --Owlsrus 16:27, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
