Etymologies and language codes

[edit]

Please do not add speculative etymologies such as those at German Recke and Dutch rek. Note as well that the use of {{inh}} in the German entry was incorrect if the Low German origin is correct; High German is not a descendant of Middle Low German. Furthermore, do not change language codes like this, the first code should always belong to the language that is described in the entry. ←₰-→ Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 05:32, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Tamil conjugation tables

[edit]

You added Template:ta-conj-1 (inflection table for class I verbs) to some Tamil verbs, I reverted some of them because those verbs were not class I, at least according to https://www.crea.in/verb-table-downloads/Appendix1.pdf (for the ones I did not revert, one was a class I verb, for the others I could not find their verb class). Also, it seems Template:ta-conj-t-p is a more complete inflection table for class I verbs, despite it being a work-in-progress. Kritixilithos (talk) 09:41, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I'm learning lots of Tamil, and was well into verbs, but I didn't know about "classes" and all that. 72.76.214.176 11:12, 5 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I first saw classes just yesterday in "A grammar of modern Tamil" by Thomas Lehmann, available at https://www.sai.uni-heidelberg.de/tamil/ . Have a good day, Kritixilithos (talk) 13:00, 5 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
