Xur-Bel-Gon

Dušan, to tell you the truth, I find it very hard to believe that there is more than one person on this planet advocating Xur-Bel-Gon, and that it's just a coincidence that IP addresses that were adding non-existing words (svetlokaz, ljudoubistvo, jajinjak..lots of that crap got propagated to FL wiktionaries via genereate-articles-by-bot-using-en.wikt-translation-table method - very bad!) and removing valid Ottoman Turkish etymologies substituting them by fake Slavic ones resolve to the same geogpraphical area in Australia as do IP addresses of your contemporary postings in sci.lang group, but that's just me.

Anyhow, if you indeed claim that someone has been impersonating you, thus inflicting damage upon your name and person, I can offer you my deepest aplologies for wrong correlation to you in that RFD topic, and promise you to remove your name anywhere it comes up if you wish to remove it from the selected articles (via delete-and-restore-selected-versions method).

Regarding Xur-Bel-Gon and disputable etymologies substituted by "alternative explanations": it abides by the policy as all the other fringecruft not generally accepted in scientific community: not allowed ^_^. If you're interested in serious contributions of Serbian entries (either standard, or dialectal, or historical - everything is allowed!), you might get started by that discussion reminder page in my userspace you discovered, or anywhere else you like to. Ja ne znam šta se to s vama dešava gospodine. Ne razumem se u IP adrese ali znam da živim u Zrenjaninu, u Srbiji, i da je moj provajder SBB Srbija. U veoma retkim slučajevima koristim komjuter na poslu (ZR-local.net). Ukoliko posećujete Sci.lang, tada ste mogli primetiti da se ja ne bavim budalaštinama tipa "svetlokaza" i slično, jer samo blesav čovek može napisati da su slične reči deo srpskog vokabulara. Dakle, nije mi do toga da neko to tamo čita i misli da sam tako nešto mogao da napišem. Očigledno je da se neko vama predstavio mojim imenom, ili ste vi to odnekud, valjda upoređujući IP adrese (očigledno pogrešno, jer ja sa Australijom nemam nikakve veze), zaključili da bi to morao biti autor "zloglasne" Xur-Bel-Gon teorije. Od avgusta nisam posećivao ove stranice, jer nisam zainteresovan za Wiktionary, ali sam pre neki dan, opet sasvim slučajno naleteo na vašu talk stranicu i to me je, moram da priznam, prilično iznerviralo. Nije mi namera da stvaram lošu klimu, ali nadam se da me razumete, jer ni vama ne bi bilo svejedno da neko zloupotrebljava vaše ime. Zato vas još molim da uklonite i one DV odrednice, koje se nalaze naspram onih blesavih (izmišljenih) reči.

2. džehenem - is it used as a general-purpose word for hell in Serbian, or just as an Islamic concept ? (Islamic religious term, mainly not known by non-Islamic speakers in Serbia)
3. stroj - the usual Serbian word is mašina ? In Serbian stroj is used in sense of 'alignment', 'formation' (cf. ustrojen formed, arranged) and very rarely in sense of 'machine'; and never as Croatian strojarnica (mašinsko odeljenje 'engine room')
4. amidžinca - can this word be verified, esp. in Serbian? very few google hits, esp. for Serbian Cyrillic variant (Probably used by Serbian Muslim population)
5. aždaha - should it be marked as (rare), or used only in literature? aždaha (rare), usually aždaja
6. božica - is it an allowed variant of boginja in literary Serbian? yes
7. boli - the usual BS plural is bolovi ? correct
8. doktorica - it should be doktorka in literary Serbian? no, both are correct (either as doktor's wife or as profession)
9. domoljublje - mostly Croatian word, very rare in Serbian
10. hajvan - rare? can it be verified? rare
11. halhala - rare? can it be verified? maybe 'alaliti' (from Turkish halal 'permit', allow')
12. hidžret - rare? can it be verified? no such word in Serbian (probably from Arabic hijra 'migration'; Mohammed's journey from Mecca to Medina)
13. horoz - rare? can it be verifed? not horoz but oroz (cock)

[1] - Dušane!!! :)) You were the last person I expected that would vote for support! :) Hereby I'd like to apologize for some of my initial ill-treatment, as I mistakenly presumed you were here to promote fringe theories in etymologies (and that obnoxious IP address from Australia which has been visiting us for a few years adding lots of non-existing words to translation tables!).

Feel free to add a few words in your mother tongue formatted as ==Serbo-Croatian== :)

Ivane, slučajno sam na ovo naišao. Pravo da ti kažem, ne znam ni kako ovo sve funkcioniše, jer ovde ima stranica na srpskom, hrvatskom, bosanskoma, možda i na crnogorskom (od nas nema većih poliglota!). Drago mi je da si pokrenuo ono što je odavno trebalo da bude pokrenuto na ovim prostorima; tj. da se vrati ime jezika onako kako je to bilo do ovog poslednjeg nesrećnog rata. Da ti iskreno priznam, i ja sam ne malo iznenađen, pošto sam mislio da bi Hrvati bili poslednji kojima bi tako nešto moglo pasti na pamet. Zapravo, kad malo bolje razmislim, rekao bih da je i Srbima i Hrvatima (i svima drugima kojima je SH maternji) potrebno da sačuvaju jezik kojim govore i da ne dopuste da se on kvari kako kome padne napamet ili da se politički zloupotrebljava. Kako sada stvari stoje, ne bi me začudilo da za koju desetinu godina dobijemo još nekoliko "novih" jezika na ovim našim južnoslovenskim prostorima.

Nažalost, nemam baš vremena da se puno zadržavam na ovim stranicama, ali bih mogao nešto povremeno da "priložim" ukoliko ova tvoja ideja o SH jeziku zaživi. Malo sam "listao" ove "vikšeneri" stranice, ali nisam nigde naišao na srpskohrvatske ili hrvatskosrpske reči, mada sam na Vikipediji video stranice na srpsko-hrvatskom.

Maločas sam dodao srpsko značenje uz reč 'harm' (zanimljivo!; zapravo hteo sam da vidim kako to funkcioniše); mislio sam da tu stavim Serbo-Croatian ali, vidim da tog jezika tamo još nema. Opet, nadajmo se da će ga biti i da će se sprečiti njegovo dalje sakaćenje.

Nema problema. Srpskohrvatske rěči se nalaze u Category:Serbo-Croatian language pa ih možeš tamo razgledavati. Trenutno se fokusiram na imenice, a kasnije ću i sređivati i ostale vrste rěči koje zasad imaju zaglavlja ==Bosnian==, ==Croatian== i ==Serbian==. Sa prěvodima je najgore stanje i to planiram zadnje rěšavati (pogotovo što se tiče unosa prěvodâ preko tog "inteligentnog" alata, dok ručno to možeš uraditi ako klikneš na "edit" link u zaglavlju Translations). Što se tiče formata članakâ, pogledaj predloženi policy WT:ASH, a sve mora biti u skladu sa WT:ELE. Nije još sigurno da će policy biti prihvaćen, ja se najiskrenije nadam da hoće, inače ja odlazim sa ovog j**** projekta jer mi je već više dozlogrdilo hrvati se sa kojekakvim frikovima koji nemaju pametnijeg posla u životu nego da gledaju kako će mi se napiti krvi.
