Viscerebus (plural Viscerebi)

  1. Viscera-eater. A human-looking, supernatural creature from the Philippine lore known for hunting humans and consuming their viscera (heart, liver and kidneys). They are known to live hidden in plain sight among human communities all over the world. To survive, their government encouraged the belief of the humans the Viscerebus are creatures of lore.

The word "viscerebus" was coined by the author of The World of the Viscerebus Series. The first book of the series was published on July 2020.
