[edit]Affixed adi- (“excellent, exquisite, fine, eminent”) + cita (“aspire”). Calque of Old Javanese ālocita (“consideration, reflexion”), from Sanskrit आलोचित (ālocita, “considered”). Doublet of ideologi.
