Min Nan[edit]

Alternative forms[edit]

án-ne ‎(POJ, traditional and simplified 按呢)

  1. like this; in this way

Usage notes[edit]

  • When used as an adverb, Min Nan an-ne corresponds to Mandarin zènme (in this way), but more in the sense of Mandarin rúcǐ (like this). As such, Min Nan an-ne can be placed at the end of a phrase (as can Mandarin rúcǐ), whereas Mandarin zènme must be followed by an adjective or verb.

án-ne ‎(POJ, traditional and simplified 按呢)

  1. in that case; then
