From anga (handle) +‎ -azo, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Gothic or (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 95: Parameter 1 should be a valid language code; the value "gem-sue" is not valid. See WT:LOL., from Proto-Germanic *angô (hook, angle), from Proto-Indo-European *h₂enk- (something bent, hook). Cognate with Portuguese engaço.[1]
