  1. A hybrid sport involving the traversal of a coastline without mechanical aids, usually by some mixture of jumping, walking, climbing and swimming.

Usage notes[edit]

  • While "coasteer" may occasionally be used as a verb, it is more common to speak of "going coasteering."
