Etymology

The name seems to be a variation of an old Milanese word (codighino or cotichino), but it is not found in modern Italian.

1. A type of spicy sausage made primarily in upper Michigan.

     This was the period when pizza was making its way onto the American culinary scene, and Tino sold cudighis along with pizza as bar food.
