From Proto-Turkic *dïrŋa-k (finger-nail, claw)[1]. Cognate with Old Turkic 𐱃𐰃𐰺𐰭𐰴 (tïrŋaq, fingernail), Turkish and Crimean Tatar tırnak, etc.
