From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Medieval Latin diversificatiō, from diversificātus, past participle of diversificō (diversify), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin diversus (turned in different ways) + faciō (make, do). Synchronically analyzable as diverse +‎ -ification.
