    • 1967-1969, Lou Sullivan, personal diary, quoted in 2019, Ellis Martin, Zach Ozma (editors), We Both Laughed In Pleasure
There's a new "performer" out called Tiny Tim. I'd heard quite a few things about him: guy with real long hair, real femmy.
    • 1985 April 20, “Would You Like (personal advertisement)”, in Gay Community News, page 13:
Talks about world affairs, women music concerts, being held by a sexy fat dyke who is femmy and over 30.
    • 1999 March 12, A, “Re: bisexual attire”, in soc.bi[1] (Usenet):
Why do I wear a biker jacket? I like making people scared of me. I get treated better by the servers in the coffeehouses in the gaybourhood. Not to mention getting looked at by the dykes/bykes. :) Without the jacket, I get pushed around more on the subway, people don't get out of my way on crowded sidewalks, and men try to intimidate me -- I'm a wee femmy thing, most of the time.
