first-person plural (plural first-person plurals)

  1. (grammar) The plural of the first-person form of a verb or pronoun, which in some languages can either be inclusive ("you and I") or exclusive ("them and I"). In other languages, there is no distinction.
    "Are" is the first-person plural of the verb "to be".
