fischerindole (plural fischerindoles)
- (biochemistry) Any of several antimicrobial alkaloids, obtained from a blue-green alga of the genus Fischerella, having a structure similar to hapalindole.
Usage notes[edit]
- Any connection with the Fischer indole synthesis would appear to be coincidental.
