Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Albanian *tpē-, rebuilt analogically after the original inchoatives, from Proto-Indo-European *tep- ‎(to be warm). Cognate to Latin tepeo ‎(to be lukewarm, tepid). From a metathesized pre-form ptoh.[1]
