futurate (plural futurates)

  1. (grammar) The use of a non-future-tense verb to express future time. In English, typically this refers to present-tense verbs.
    The verbs in sentences like "School starts next month", "I'm meeting him at 6:00 tomorrow", and "I thought the party was next week" are futurate uses.
