Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish كوچمك (göçmek, to migrate), from Proto-Turkic *köč- (to migrate). Cognate of Azerbaijani köçmək, Kazakh көшу (köşu), and Karakhanid كُجْماكْ (köčmēk).
