Verb

have the time (third-person singular simple present has the time, present participle having the time, simple past and past participle had the time)

  1. (intransitive) To be available; to have time; to have nothing more important to do.
    I'll finish my book when I have the time.
    I can't do it yet: I don't have the time.
  2. (intransitive) To know the current time, or be able to consult a device which does.
    Hey, do you have the time? I think I'm late for work.
