From Proto-Slavic *klakъ, *tlakъ. Cognates include Old Czech tlaka (facial hair), Russian клок (klok), Serbo-Croatian dlaka (hair), Old Prussian clokis (bear), Lithuanian lokỹs (bear) and Latvian lâcis (bear).
