[edit]From Ottoman Turkish گز (gez) ultimately from Proto-Turkic [Term?]. Cognate with Kazakh кез (kez) and Turkmen gezek.

- time, occasion (an instance or occurrence)
- Bir ya da iki kez de bana söyle. ― Tell it to me once or twice.
- Bir kezden bir şey olmaz. ― Once is like never. (lit. Nothing happens from once).
Usage notes
[edit]- The plural form of this noun is never used. Other than the ablative declension (see above), its declined forms are very rare and kere is usually used instead if declension is needed.
