- (most dialects) to put; to lay; to make lie
- Wo es dann meng Zeidung? Die hatt ich hee op der Desch jelat.
- Where’s my newspaper? I had put it right here on the table.
Usage notes
[edit]- The past tense is restricted to Ripuarian. Otherwise the forms lät, lääch; jelat, jelaach are Ripuarian, while läächt; geläächt are Moselle Franconian.
