lanzon (plural lanzones)

  1. Lansium domesticum, a species of tree in the mahogany family
  2. (usually in the plural) The fruit of this tree
    • 2010, Leoncio V. Gregana, Into the Change of Time: The Nurse, page 55:
      San Manuel and the neighboring towns around Mount Banahao, in Laguna, are famous for lanzones. The story goes that it used to be a wild fruit in the mountain that nobody attempted to eat because the locals knew it was poisonous.
