look down (third-person singular simple present looks down, present participle looking down, simple past and past participle looked down)

  1. (transitive) To feel superior to.
    She looks down at her own father.
  2. (euphemistic) To watch over, as in from heaven.
    No matter where you are, remember I'm looking down at you even after I'm gone.
