From French magasin, from Old French maguesin, from Arabic مَخَازِن(maḵāzin, storerooms, storehouses), plural of مَخْزَن(maḵzan, storeroom", "storehouse), from خَزَنَ(ḵazana, to store, to stock, to lay up).
