Borrowed from New Latin, from Ancient Greek μῡ́ειν (mū́ein, to close, used of the lips or eyes).[1]

  1. (zoology) A set of growth stages in the larvae of Decapoda after protozoea and prior to the juvenile stage, in which pereiopods are used to move.
