Irish[edit]

Particle[edit]

n-ar

  1. Alternative form of ar (indirect relative particle)

Usage notes[edit]

This form is found in older texts after certain vowel-final prepositions, e.g. faoi n-ar (under/about which), i n-ar (in which), le n-ar (with which), ó n-ar (from which). In modern texts these forms are written as single words: faoinar, inar, lenar, ónar.
