on the market

  1. Offered for sale.
  2. During a real estate auction: going to be sold at that auction, i.e. the bid has reached the vendor's reserve.
  3. (of a person) single; not in a committed romantic relationship or otherwise unavailable.

Usage notes

  • The general sense of "offered for sale" is also used in the real-estate context.
