Usage notes

  • A superfluous av is sometimes mistakenly added after p.g.a., even by native speakers, despite already being included in the abbreviation.
    • For example: "Problem med kortbetalningar på Apotek Hjärtat pga av[sic] skottdagen" (Literally, Problems with card payments at Apotek Hjärtat because of due to[sic] leap day).[1]
