English[edit]

Noun[edit]

phenoseason (plural phenoseasons)

  1. A phenological season.
    • 1999, Michael G. Barbour, Terrestrial Plant Ecology, page 395:
The year was divided into phenoseasons, each of which represents a period when the solar elevation and phenological state (the state of organism properties that change seasonally, e.g., leaf formation, bud formation, and flowering) of the forest canopy create a unique set of influences of the radiation regime within the forest.
