Borrowed from Javanese ꦥꦿꦱꦱ꧀ꦠꦶ (prasasti, “ancient inscription”), from Old Javanese praśasti (“charter, edict, inscription”), from Sanskrit प्रशस्ति (praśasti, “eulogistic inscription”).
