Etymology[edit]
From Turkish rastık, from Ottoman Turkish راستق (rastık), itself from Persian راسخت (râsoxt). Apparently ultimately from Persian for "burnt copper"; see Arabic رُوسَخْتَج (rūsaḵtaj) for more.
