1. (botany, obsolete) Belonging or relating to the Restiaceae (now Restionaceae), a family of rush-like plants. [from 1810]
   • 1867, Thomas Moore, British Wild Flower:

     The little family of Restiaceous plants is represented in our flora by a small aquatic tufted plant, found in the Hebrides and in Ireland, and called the Jointed Eriocaulon.
