sorbitization (countable and uncountable, plural sorbitizations)

  1. (metallurgy) The process of sorbitizing, especially in the hardening of metal by interrupted quenching.

      During 1951-1952, experiments were made on quenching (sorbitization) of entire lengths of rail at the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Combine.
