  1. to sting, prick, stab (and most senses of German stechen)

  2. to stick, put inside (and most senses of German stecken)
    Mi Mamm hät mer jet Jeld en de Täsch jestoche.
    My mother stuck some money in my pocket.

Usage notes[edit]

  • The forms stech, jestoche are Ripuarian, while sticht, gestoch are Moselle Franconian. The preterite is chiefly restricted to Ripuarian.
