- Common designation for a wide variety of birds with particularly pointy and/or stiff tails, particularly:
- Any of various furnariid birds (ovenbirds) or spinetails, particularly of the genus Cranioleuca.
- A stiff-tailed duck; any bird of the subfamily Oxyurinae.
