Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek στρατηγικός (stratēgikós, of or for a general", also "a treatise on strategy), from στρατηγός (stratēgós, the leader or commander of an army, a general), from στρατός (stratós, army) + ἄγω (ágō, I lead, I conduct).
