From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek στρατηγικός (stratēgikós, “of or for a general", also "a treatise on strategy”), from στρατηγός (stratēgós, “the leader or commander of an army, a general”), from στρατός (stratós, “army”) + ἄγω (ágō, “I lead, I conduct”).
