subrisk (countable and uncountable, plural subrisks)

1. Risk that is subordinate or subsidiary to other risk; thus:
   1. (hazard classes for dangerous goods) Subsidiary risk as opposed to primary risk, where the latter is what governs the assignment of a hazard class but the former is nonetheless important to know about.
   2. (epidemiology, medicine, public health, occupational health, environmental health) Subsidiary risk as opposed to primary risk, as with risk factors that are less important than others, that exist only when certain others are present, or that matter more when certain others are present (for example, condomless sex and sex work).
