1. typewritten material, especially such a copy of a manuscript
   • 1948 July and August, “Cambridge Railway Club's Scottish Tour Journal”, in Railway Magazine, page 262:

     The whole production, which consists of 16 typescript pages contained in a decorative stiff cover, forms a pleasant reminder of the conditions in which the railway enthusiast was able to pursue his hobby before the recent war.

2. (computing, Unix) A file containing a replay of commands typed into a terminal, which can then be automatically typed by a program later on.

   The script command allows you to make a typescript out of the current contents of your terminal.
