Catalan

Catalan ordinal numbers
 <  _0è _1è _2è  >
    Cardinal : un
    Ordinal : -unè

Pronunciation

Adjective

-unè (adjective-forming suffix, feminine -unena, masculine plural -unens, feminine plural -unenes)

  1. first (combining form)

Usage notes

The Catalan masculine ordinal for first is primer instead of this regular form derived from un. However, this regular form is used in the ordinal numbers where un is used to form a compound cardinal number such as vint-i-unè (21a) and cent unè (101a).
