veteranize (third-person singular simple present veteranizes, present participle veteranizing, simple past and past participle veteranized)

1. (transitive) To make veteran.
2. (US, military, intransitive) To reenlist for service as a soldier.

     About this time we were much embarrassed by a general order of the War Department, promising a thirty-days furlough to all soldiers who would "veteranize"
