Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Albanian *awa-rula, possibly related to Latin rotulare (to roll, revolve). Compare Middle English rollen, Old French roler. Alternatively from Proto-Albanian *awa-rāgula, close to Proto-Slavic *krǫgъ (circle). Related to vrangull.
