  1. sand (material found on beaches)
    Τα παιδιά έπαιζαν στην άμμο με τα φτυαράκια τους.
    Ta paidiá épaizan stin ámmo me ta ftyarákia tous.
    The children played in the sand with their shovels.
  2. beach (especially a sandy one)
