Etymology[edit]
From Byzantine Greek Παντίκιον (Pantíkion), probably a corrupted form of Ancient Greek Πεντατείχιον (Pentateíkhion), a compound of πέντε (pénte, “five”) + τειχίον (teikhíon, “wall”).
