Etymology
[edit]From ރަށް (raṣ̊, “country”) + ވެހި (vehi, “dweller”). Doublet of ރައްޓެހި (raṭṭehi, “friend, countryman”);[1] cognate to Sinhalese රටවැසි (raṭawæsi).
