Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘭𑘎𑘯 (sakaḷa), 𑘭𑘐𑘯 (sagaḷa), an ardhatatsama adapted from Sanskrit सकल (sakala).[1][2] Cognate with Konkani सग्ळे (sagḷe), Gujarati સઘળું (saghaḷũ), Hindi सगरा (sagrā), Punjabi ਸਗਲ (sagal) / سَگَل (sagal).
