Etymology 1[edit]

From Proto-Indo-European *h₁me- (me). Cognate with Ancient Greek ἐμέ (emé, me). The o-stem possessive is from Proto-Indo-European *h₁mos and cognate with Ancient Greek ἐμός (emós).
