中国地方 (hiragana ちゅうごくちほう, romaji chūgokuchihō)
- Chūgoku region: the west part of 本州 (Honshū, “Honshū, the main island of Japan”), bordering the region of 関西 (Kansai) to the east, and the islands of 四国 (Shikoku) to the south and 九州 (Kyūshū) to the southwest.
