  1. (Greek mythology) The goddess of snow and winter winds. She is the daughter of Boreas, (the North Wind), and Oreithyia, (an Athenian princess whom he had abducted). Her siblings are Zetes, Calaides and Cleopatra, (the wife of Phineus).
