beach towel, bath towel, hand towel

Either these should be deleted as sop, or we are missing face towel, sauna towel, foot towel, football towel, hair towel, dish towel, window towel, cotton towel, terry cloth towel... --Hekaheka (talk) 15:56, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

• Keep beach and hand, at least: Those two imply a certain size and/or fabric. You don't have a 12"x18" beach towel, you don't have a 4'x6' hand towel Purplebackpack89 ^{(Notes Taken) (Locker)} 17:49, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
• I would keep these (certainly the first two). A (deprecated template usage) beach towel is not used to dry a beach, and a (deprecated template usage) bath towel is not used to dry a bath. SemperBlotto (talk) 17:56, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

I note that the definition of "hand towel" claims (correctly or not?) that it may also be used for the face. I just call mine a towel. Equinox ◑ 21:48, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

• I'm pretty sure bath towel — in the States — is used to market a towel of a particular size or range of sizes, and is contrasted with bath sheet, which is used to market a towel of a particular (larger) size or range of sizes. 'Keep all three, as they are the name of specific types of towel. If you bring a small towel, of the sort normally used to dry your hands and face, to a beach it will still be a hand towel, not a beach towel. — Ungoliant ^(Falai) 11:17, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
